RG Henderson- Technical Support - Parts Expert 

About Us:

RG Henderson, a division of Heritage Food Service Group of Canada Limited, is the largest commercial food equipment repair company in the Greater Toronto Area. We provide Repair Services, OEM Parts, Installation, and Planned Maintenance Programs for a variety of commercial food service equipment.  We are the leader within our industry and are looking to grow our team!

Position Summary:

In the role of the Technical Support - Parts Expert, the primary responsibility is maintaining positive relationships with our service technicians and manufacturers for commercial kitchen parts identification and problem solving. The Technical Support - Parts Expert must thrive in an extremely fast paced work environment with high deliverables. This role will report into the Technical Support Manager.

Please note: this is not a software support position. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Reviewing service orders and determining the required commercial kitchen parts
  • Verifying and updating accurate part information (serial numbers, models, etc.) for customer accounts
  • Picking and staging parts from the main warehouse for service calls
  • Liaising with service technicians and manufacturers for technical support calls
  • Issuing purchase orders for material and part pick-ups from local suppliers
  • Coordinating with Service Technicians in regards to parts ready for pickup for service calls
  • Verifying warranty service calls for accuracy
  • Sourcing parts from equipment manufacturers, distributors, local suppliers, and fabricators.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of customer service experience (Kitchen parts expertise an asset)
  • Technical knowledge and ability to read manufacturer manuals and identify parts
  • Minimum high school education or equivalent
  • Intermediate computer skills: Microsoft office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), email applications (Outlook) and ability to learn new computer systems
  • Strong data entry skills, basic math and proofreading abilities
  • Ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment
  • Team orientated and customer service approach to work
  • Strong time management, organization and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication skills over the phone, in person, and through email
  • Knowledge of industrial kitchen equipment would be considered an asset
